KITCHEN FAUCETS 101

PICK YOUR MATCH

Life centers around the kitchen and faucets are right in the middle of all of it! No matter what your needs, there’s a faucet right for you. We’re here to help you find your dream faucet!

What’s your kitchen routine like? Do you cook daily or not at all? Are you always filling large pots? Or maybe you use your faucet mostly for washing your hands? Whatever the use, you’ll find just what you’re looking for!

When picking a faucet there are a few specifications to think about. The type of handle, the height of the spout and the sprayer, are three important factors to keep in mind.

FAUCET HANDLES

ONE HANDLE

While many faucets can range from one handle to two, VIGO’s faucets showcase a finely crafted single handle. Having one handle gives a contemporary look while also enabling easy usage. Both hot and cold temperatures on one handle allow for effortless functionality. Typically the single handle is found on the faucet or next to it.

ARCHES

HIGH ARCH

Going for a modern kitchen? A high arch will be just what you’re looking for! Rising about 8-10 inches above the sink plane, a high arch provides the most space above the sink. Giving you more room to work and wash dishes!

LOW ARCH

Does your window feature a stunning view? Don’t block it out! Go for a low arch faucet and keep that beautiful scenery. Standing only about 3-8 inches above the sink plane gives this faucet the same power as a high arch, but stands shorter.

SPRAYER TYPES

Pull-down or Pull-out. These two sprayers all appear to be similar, but their functions vary. Look through both and find the one that works conveniently for you when rinsing, washing, and filling!

PULL DOWN

Sitting on a downward angle, the pull-down sprayer was made for flexibility and an extended reach. It’s simple, just pull it down and go! When you’re done, it retracts with ease and maintains its modern look.

PULL-OUT

Just like the pull-down faucet, a pull-out sprayer pulls outward towards the user.

FAUCET HOLES

How many holes are in your countertops? You’ll need to know before you install your faucet! One hole, two holes, or three? Some can even have four!

ONE HOLE

Single hole faucets have a modern and sleek look, with the temperature control handle attached at the stem. There’s no extra drilling or fuss with your countertops. VIGO’s single hole kitchen faucets are installed with ease and improve any kitchen!

TWO HOLES

The second hole with a faucet is typically for an extra spray, second handle, or a soap dispenser. This second hole keeps a contemporary look without obstructing the faucet.

THREE OR MORE HOLES

More traditional faucets are seen with three holes, a hot and cold handle along with the faucet. Additional holes are used for the soap dispenser and side sprayers.

FAUCET EXTRAS

Are you looking for something to enhance your cooking experience? Why not purchase a faucet with a pot filler? A pot filler is an attachment or separate installation Easily fill up any pot in just a few seconds and speed through cooking prep with ease.

Now that you've learned more about faucets and their different designs, you should be able to find the faucet of your dreams!
